14 March 2020 - New Info! With More to Come!

We mail on Thursdays - so we process & wrap books on Wednesdays.

This item includes a set of over 4,000 Valuation Maps of Minnesota's Railroads, all on a convenient thumb-drive. Most important is the 100 page index for these maps. This index allows the maps to be accessed in a simple & timely manner.
The maps are of two different types: Right of Way & Station Plats. The Right of Way maps show the layout of various lines from "Point A to Point B". The Station Plats are detailed maps of the various towns throughout Minnesota located on each railroad. While the detail of the maps, which generally date from the 1920s period, varies, they are the best representation of Minnesota's various rail lines. I have been using these maps for research purposes for decades & find them invaluable, as I am sure any student of Minnesota Railroad History will also. They are topics for in-depth study & are sure to answer countless questions for anyone who invests in them.

The Minnesota Railroad Valuation Maps (GP-1017)
- will only be available only from Grenadier Publications.  RETAIL - $35 plus $4.00 Shipping (Shipping rate will be adjusted at check out) & Minnesota Sales Tax where applicable. Go to the listing "Categories" on the right hand side of the website's homepage & click on Grenadier Publications to order the maps.

In addition, I purchased 2,000 out of print railroad books last Fall. This collection includes a wealth of subject matters from across the country & they are all (almost) in very good shape. The previous owner took special care of his books, with some books still sealed! I have been in the book business for almost 4 decades & there are quite a number of books in this collection that I have never seen before! They are priced to sell! (If you are interested in 4 or more titles, contact me & we will see if we can work out a "bundle-price" for the books).

The New Books (Estate Sale) are listed in the "Category Section", on the right side of my Home Page, under "ES".

When you contact me to reserve a book, please include the complete book identification number - for example, ES-1000 - & its title. The numerical listing of the books changes as books are sold.

HEALTH UPDATE - 14 March 2020- John had appts with both his cardiologist & GP in the last week. He has been advised to stay put. We both are over 60, have diabetes & other immune system health issues, along with heart problems (John's are a lot worse than mine). So both docs felt John should stay away from large crowds so - NO RR SHOWS - for the foreseeable future. Luckily, John had already figured that out & has been staying close to home (as have I).

Influenza A, which John was diagnosed with on 5 Feb, came on so quickly (diagnosed within 8 days from contact), from a gentlemen John just happened to be around (who was older than John & had not learned how to cover his mouth when coughing or sneezing), that we decided, before seeing his docs, that staying home, was the smart way to go. (John is over the Flu, but he had to miss the Madison RR Show in February - I was not diagnosed with the Flu, just coughed for about 3 weeks).

We are already both considered "Vulnerable" or as John would say, really "Behind the Eight Ball" with the Coronavirus. His docs advice just confirmed what we already knew.

So staying Home just makes sense - not like we went anywhere anyway! That also means he has decided not to take any appointments "in the house", for the foreseeable future, but he will do "drive-by book pick-ups" if you are interested in saving postage.

We will keep you posted! Remember to Wash Your Hands!

We are playing this by ear - so no news yet about any shows in May 2020, as of yet.
